Australian Hairdressing Council

Astonishing Hair is proud to be a Gold accredited member of the Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC).

The AHC sets standards for salons and represents the professional hairdressing industry nationally. Its members are accredited salons, product companies and associated industry members who have united to ensure that operational standards are high; career interest and recruitment improves; and the Federal Government recognises and responds to unique industry issues.

Astonishing Hair received Silver Accreditation in April 2016.
Silver Accreditation is awarded to salons who commit to:

• Good business ethics
• Sound business practices
• Quality client service
• Training
• Fair employment practices
• Sustainability of our environment

The final step in Silver Accreditation is a mystery shopper assessment by the AHC, and we are pleased to announce that Catherine and Kylie were assessed as providing an ‘outstanding’ level of service and skill. We are extremely proud of this recognition of the hard work and exceptional skills of our staff.

Astonishing Hair received Gold Accreditation in May 2016, less than six months after our opening. Our staff take great pride in this achievement, and have worked exceptionally hard to achieve this goal in such a short period of time.

To receive Gold Accreditation, a salon must have completed Silver accreditation and also show:

• Stylists with the highest level of skills
• A strong commitment to ongoing training, ensuring that stylists excel at the latest styles, colours and cuts
• Outstanding customer service
• Sound business practices, including
  • Documented Environmental standards
  • Documented Workplace Health & Safety standards
  • Fair employment practices
